Expectations and Terms

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you! To help facilitate the most optimal working relationship with Advantage Drafting, please review these standard expectations:

Acceptance

  •  By granting us permission to proceed with the work, you are agreeing to the lead time provided in your quote. Please be aware that quoted lead times are subject to change due to the irregular nature of our awarded work volume. The quoted lead time indicated in our proposal assumes original drawing files in DWG or PDF format are available for our reference. If scanned PDF files are provided, the shop drawing production time may increase by up to 50%. Accurate and efficient shop drawings depend on the quality of reference materials. Original drawing files are preferred, but scanned PDF files can be used with the understanding that additional time may be required.
  • Your signature on our quote signifies your understanding that all elevations, details, and other elements to be included in the shop drawings are marked in GREEN on the highlighted scope document linked in your proposal. Please be aware that any modifications to scope or system type(s) made after acceptance may require a revision of the quoted price, or a billable revision, depending on the extent of progress in production.
  • Please take a few minutes to review our full Terms & Conditions by clicking here. It is understood, that by authorizing us to do work, that you agree to these Terms and Conditions completely.

Payment

  • All new clients must complete a Credit Card Authorization Form with your basic contact information and credit card details.
  • A 50% deposit is charged to your credit card upon order placement. The remaining balance is charged upon delivery of your shop drawings.
  • Your Credit Card Authorization Form will be kept on file for future transactions. We believe this a win/win arrangement for us and you because it streamlines your payments.
  • You can find this form linked here: Credit Card Authorization Form.
  • If you currently owe any overdue payments to Advantage Drafting, please be guided by the following:

30+ Days Overdue Notification: If your account becomes overdue by 30+ days, we will send you a notification email that includes a list of projects and their corresponding invoice numbers for your reference. At this stage, we will still proceed with kicking off any new projects you have awarded to us, but please note that the delivery of these projects, and the delivery of revisions or additions related to overdue projects, will be put on hold until your account is fully cleared.

90+ Days Overdue Notification: Should your account become overdue by 90+ days, you will receive another notification email stating that we will not proceed to kick off any new projects until your account is fully cleared. This measure is implemented to ensure fair allocation of resources and maintain consistent service quality for all clients.

Revisions

  • Depending on the options you select on your quote, you will have a number of “Included Revisions” available (2 by default). These are to serve as a “catch-all”, whether requested changes are due to our error/misinterpretation or for anything OTHER THAN Billable Revision items (scope or system(s) changes). This is also applicable to product submittal packages.
  • If a revision request consists ONLY of items due to our error or misinterpretation, we will promptly revise the drawings for you, and it will NOT count against you as one of your Included Revisions.
  • “Billable Revisions” are defined as changes to scope or system(s) used, and are excluded from the Included Revisions described above.
  • Our Billable Revision rate is $95 per hour. If no Job Information Form (JIF) is provided, all revisions will be deemed a “Billable Revision”.
  • Unlimited Revisions are offered for select projects and/or clients. If this is available for your project, you will find the option on the pricing table of this quote — this covers all revisions not defined as a Billable Revision.
  • Please do your best to consolidate requested revisions/corrections in as few correspondences as possible for maximum efficiency.
  • Our preferred method of communication regarding corrections/revisions is to receive “redlines”, which is a copy of the drawings with mark-ups in RED. Your cooperation regarding this matter benefits all parties and is greatly appreciated!

Quality Assurance

  • We promise to do our absolute best to produce the highest quality shop drawings possible on every project and are constantly working to improve.
  • Every set of our shop drawings goes through a thorough quality assurance process, but sometimes, errors and/or omissions can occur. For this reason, we ask that clients thoroughly review all drawings in order to ensure the accuracy of all aspects of the work, including scope, system types, detail accuracy, quantities, dimensions, etc. are correct.
  • You can find out more about our proven process, the Advantage Way, by visiting our About page.
